About Me
COUNSELLING

I am a fully qualified Counsellor and School Therapist, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been supporting people in therapy since 2017. Previously I worked in the NHS supporting Mental Health Teams across Leeds, so I have lots of knowledge about mental health and the impact it has. I also have personal experience of managing anxiety and overwhelming feelings.

Over the years I have helped children, young people and adults with trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, gender identity, neurodivergent conditions like Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia, self-esteem, low confidence, bereavement and loss, attachment difficulties, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and stress.

My aim is to build a genuine, trusting, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship with my clients so they can feel comfortable sharing and exploring their thoughts, feelings and experiences with me. Then together we look at ways to make positive changes using lots of different tools and techniques that I learned in my initial studies, developed through regular supervision, professional development courses and experience as a counsellor.

I love to help people, and I feel privileged to do so in my work. I am currently supporting adults face to face based at Rooms @ 1900 Health & Wellbeing Centre, via telephone or online using Teams and WhatsApp Video.

If you would like some help and would like to find out if I can help you, please get in touch.

A word from my clients...

Sarah has provided a safe space for me to explore my own mind, experiences, relationships and helped me gain perspective that I've sorely needed in my life. Her person-centred approach has allowed me to explore difficult and unexpected things and help me navigate my feelings in a way that feels authentic and real. As a trainee counsellor I've developed massively and as a father, son, brother and partner even more. Thank you for helping me to feel comfortable in being myself.
Thank you for all the help and support that you gave to me Sarah. You really helped me to get through a difficult time in my life! I have also managed to overcome some recent events which would normally  have taken me years or never to deal with and let go. You are a fantastic beautiful lady with a very warm heart.
Thank you so much for all your support getting me to a place where I feel a better person and able to cope with my family issues. I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't made that message. I feel like a new person.
Sarah helped me to feel heard. For the first time in my life instead of feeling ashamed, I feel love and compassion towards myself. Thank you so much Sarah.
